The Registrar of Political Parties led a section of ORPP to Bunge Towers on 17th April, 2025, to submit ORPP written memorandum before the Justice Affairs and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly on the Political Parties (Amendment), Bill, 2024, now at public participation stage.

A spot light to the ORPP’s written memorandum to the Bill submitted included; need to entrench in the constitution In- dependent Political Parties Regulatory Commission (IPPRC, presently, ORPP), allocate adequate resources for setting up of proposed IPPRC, need to clearly outline regulatory powers and appeal mechanisms out of IPPRC’s decisions.
